EN131 Professional Extension Ladders
As you may now be aware EN131 Professional is replacing Class 1 which is typically what classification should be used on construction sites. EN131 Professional now covers both trade and industrial use, which means any business using extension ladders in their day to day work should purchase ladders conforming to this new classification when replacing their ladders.
Main changes to EN131 Professional extension ladders are that any extension or leaning ladders over 3m will have to be fit with a stabiiser bar as standard and under new standards more rigorous weight and torsion tests have been introduced.
